1978 Ford F-250
Truck has undergone a 3-year complete professional body-off restoration finished in 2005 by PG Series trucks in San Diego, CA. They are very well known for their high quality custom truck retrofits, lifts, and restorations. Since then, only 2,500 careful miles have been put on this always garage kept rare 4 door pickup. Powered by a rebuilt 429CID big block engine made to run on pump gas with a mild performance cam. All of the best parts were used internally, heads were studded for extra strength. Engine optioned with Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake, Holley vacuum secondary and electric choke carb, MSD Billet distributor and 6A electronic ignition box. High quality thick flange headers are jet hot coated as well as the exhaust back to the Flowmaster muffler. Backed by a rebuilt C6 transmission with shift kit. Dana 60 rear end with Posi-traction and 4.11 gears out back. All of the suspension has been upgraded with new springs and custom shocks. Power steering makes it turn with ease. The frame, axle, springs, I-beams, and driveshaft were all powdercoated. The control arms, brackets, and hardware are all show chrome. Rear diff cover is polished aluminum. Truck rolls on custom Forged 16.5 " WELD EVO rims and like new 35" BFG All Terrains. Stops with power 4 wheel disc brakes. Front calipers are huge Daytons. Custom interior features an Ididit chrome tilt steering column, an ice cold Vintage Air A/C and heat system, and rebuilt seats out of a 1997 F350 truck. Door panels were partly upholstered to match the seats. New Dash pad and gauges look amazing in the nicely painted to match exterior dashboard. All of the windows were tinted. I can find no evidence of major body damage or rust repair ever on this truck with the exception of the front floor pans which were cut out and replaced. I was told it was always a dry southwest vehicle. Paint quality is very nice and finished in a PPG Indigo Blue Metallic. Bodywork is nice and straight, paint is fully sanded and buffed. Door jambs, bed , and dash are also nicely detailed like the exterior. There were some very minor dings and paint chip touch ups in the bed from hauling stuff around, but if you decided to Rhino line the bed, they would all disappear. All of the elctricals and lights work great. CD stereo with rockford fosgate speakers and amp. This truck runs and drives amazingly, it is not bumpy and stiff like most other lifted trucks I have experienced. We just did a trip from phoenix (150 miles) and it performed flawlessly. Don't miss your chance to have this hard to find pickup.
