1931 Ford Model A
This is a real Hot Rod. Originally built in 1951 and still remains totally original cosmetically and mechanically with the exception of a few parts over the years. Very nice rust free body still retains its black lacquer paint from 1951. It shines and looks great, but because of the age it has chips and some cracking here and there. Interior is original except for the carpet which was replaced at some point. Door panel bottoms still have the original carpet. Custom dash sports 60's era stewert warner gauges that all work except for the fuel gauge. Original schroeder wheel with hand made custom adapter. 303 olds engine was stroked to 350 inches. Solid Cam with 4 Stromburg 97's. Custom headers are original to the car but were jet hot coated. It runs great and is very fast. Engine is backed by a Zephyr 3 speed that shifts very well. Banjo rear out of a 39 ford. Generator was replaced at some point with a one wire gm alternator. Hood side still retains the bubble for the generator with a flying eyeball that the previous owner believed was hand painted by Von Dutch. True to the era this car was fitted on deuce rails. Mor Drop front axle and tube shocks all the way around. 40 ford juice brakes stop it well. All of the chrome on the suspension shows wear from age. Custom steelie 15" rims also show some chrome wear. Michelin "X" radials from the 70's or 80's era are in good shape and are not dry rotted. 39 ford tailights. Original 32 ford grille. Black plates are still on the car from the 60's. This car was owned and displayed by the Petersen Auto Museum in Los Angeles from 1993-2003. Since 2003 it has had one owner besides me. It is truly a piece of Hot rodding history. Comes with a custom carson style top that was built at the same time the car was constructed .
