1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Camaro Street/Strip Coupe. Started as a rust free, solid, straight , and unmolested AZ Car. It retains all of its rust free original sheetmetal. Original floor, trunk, and rockers are solid and original. Custom Hugger Orange paint with black stripes was professionally done and was fully sanded and buffed to a mirror like finish. Panels are very straight and all hood, doors, and trunk gaps are very nice. There are very few flaws in the paint which include multiple small chips on the lower rear quarter panel from burnouts, a small scratch on the hood next to the front dzus fastener, a few chip touch ups here and there, and a small quarter size spot on the front driver side lower fender that I only just noticed on the lift today where the paint has a few small bubbles. Powered by a 502 Big Block Chevrolet engine with under 15 passes since new. Engine started with a new 502 block with completes SCAT 4340 lightweight forged bottom end. Fully ported square port heads with Crane Gold roller rockers, roller lifters, and HP springs topped with a weiand Team G intake and HP Holley 950 Carb. Dyno tested at 675.3hp @ 7200Rpm with 586.5 ft lbs of torque @ 5400RPM. Backed by a built Hughes Turbo 400 with trans brake and reverse valve body. Hughes 4500 stall convertor. Balanced Driveshaft coupled to a Ford 9" with aluminum nodular Strange center section and 31 spline race axles. Cal Trac bars help her launch straight and hard. Engine is optioned with an aluminum morose electric water pump, Jet Hot coated Hooker competition headers, finned aluminum valve covers, MSD ignition, and cooled by a 4 row radiator with dual Spal electric fans. Fuel is fed by a monster Magnaflow 300 fuel pump, regulator, and filter. All lines are either hard, braided, and all AN Fittings. Interior was all redone with new carpet, headliner, and door panels. Dash cluster is custom leaving the rest of the dash intact as original. 12 point roll cage, adjustable track race seats, and AutoMeter gauges. Painless fuse panel keeps the wiring clean. 2 optima batteries in the trunk with a custom aluminum fuel cell. All suspension was rebuilt as well as the brakes. Best time at the track was a 10.60 @130mph. This is surely one of the cleanest 69 Camaro drag cars you will come across. Add some mufflers and drive her on the street! The engine runs Crisp and rattles the shop when started. Great reliable car proven on the drag strip and a show stopper to boot!
